Cabo for another 40th celebration and black marlin!

Yup – another 40th celebration in the books! Not mine, one is enough! Clark, welcome to the club.  You may have noticed him in my 40th celebration photos from the Dominican, long time friends, college roommates, still trying to act like we are 21.  Regardless we have and you can tell that blue water, fishing, and cold beverages seem to be the theme for how we celebrate.  This time the trip was in Cabo San Lucas.  We had an awesome time stayed in a great resort and one of the highlights was the marlin fishing with RedRum Sportfishing out of Cabo.  First class operation, great fisherman, and made us feel right at home.  We hooked up 5 black marlin and landed 4 that morning.  It was pretty epic day to say the least, especially when Clark and I doubled up right of the rip.  In the first 45 mins we had two landed and ready for more!

Yup – thats a double! Right off the start, setting the tone for us with 4 nice fish to the boat.

Take a look at this guy, probably lost his bill in a tussle as a youngster.  It didn’t stop him from putting up an awesome fight.

Cabo is home to many whales that migrate through to the north, what amazing site watching this mother and offspring breaching within a couple of hundred yards of the boat.

More perks, picked up two of these 600 pounders on the way back in through the harbor, they were just looking for a free meal.
